NATIONAL UNITY DAY: UNITY IS STRENGTH

A special assembly was conducted in Presidium on the National Unity Day. The students shared their views on the significance of unity through various examples. A beautiful poem was recited on the theme followed by a skit emphasizing the importance of cooperation, team strength and sharing among ourselves for the betterment of society. The assembly ended with a dance on the motivational song. Presidians expressed the significance of unity through various quotes like unity is strength and division is weakness and thousands of drops together makes an ocean.

Diwali is one of the biggest festivals celebrated all over India with great enthusiasm. In Presidium, a special assembly was conducted by the grade 5 students to celebrate this beautiful festival of lights Diwali. The assembly started with gayatri mantra and shlokas from Ramayana. After that a skit was presented by the students showing the importance of Laxmi puja on this auspicious day. The class presented a beautiful dance performance in the end along with a special message of spreading light of humanity, kindness and love in the society.

SUDHA MA’AM ADDS GRACE TO DIWALI CELEBRATIONS IN PRESIDIUM

Diwali is the most enjoyable and sacred Hindu festival. This festival is celebrated from ancient times to mark the return of Lord Rama with his wife and brother to Ayodhya after long fourteen years of exile. This year this festival added a galore and love as our Presidians celebrated this festival of lights with our very own Sudha Ma’am. The students enjoyed and relished sweets with ma’am and started the celebration in the school. She enjoyed the company of the leaders of tomorrow in the celebration adding a touch of affection, warmth love to this joyous festival.

PRESIDIANS ACTIVELY LEARN ABOUT EXPONENTS AND POWERS

The students of grade 7 recently participated in an activity based on Exponents and Powers in the Math lab. They used origami sheets of different colours and folded each sheet into different numbers of folds to express the numbers in their exponential form. The number of folds represented the exponents. The children enjoyed the activity a lot as it helped them to relate with exponents.

DUSSEHRA REINFORCES CULTURAL VALUES IN PRESIDIANS

Dussehra is the culmination of the nine-day Navaratri celebrations. It celebrates Lord Rama's victory over Ravana in a festival spread over ten days. On this special occasion of Dussehra, an assembly was organized to highlight the importance of Dussehra. The students presented a short enactment of Ramayana in a beautiful poetic form. Seeing young leaders dressed in colorful costumes as Gods and Goddesses was a real sight to behold. The message shared in the assembly was the victory of good over the bad, God over the devil and also shared the significance of the festival. This auspicious day reminds people of the fact that truth always wins and motivates them to follow the path of ‘dharma’. The event was a learning experience for all of us and enriched us with our rich Indian culture and values.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE AGILE GYMNASTS OF PRESIDIUM

Presidium designed its sports programme in great way to promote self-esteem, friendship, safety. Gymnastics is one such fun learning fitness programme of the school. We recently organised a special event to recognize students' accomplishments in gymnastics championships and encourage them for progress. Our students showed excellent performances in all the routines on all the apparatus. Medals were awarded for their performances. The result of Inter Centre Gymnastics District Championships is as follows: Girls team won 1st position under 15 years group. Boys team under 11 years group won 2nd position. Poorvanshi of grade 8th won 2nd position on floor exercise. Dhruvshi yadav secured 2nd position on vaulting table. Ishika tanwar bagged 3rd position on uneven bars and vaulting table. Ridhaan Singhal won gold medal on vaulting table.

Presidium conducted an Open House for the parents to visit our institution and gain knowledge about it. An integrated presentation of school achievements, our amazing curriculum, our extraordinary co curricular activities and sports areas was shown to the parents. Parents visited this event in huge numbers. They were amazed to go through the experiential learning based curriculum of the school and were enthusiastic to see the awards won by the school in all areas. It was a wonderful experience which helped them make the right choice when it comes to their child’s education.

Mask making is one of the most enjoyable crafts that students can be engaged in. Presidium conducted a mask making activity on the topic 'Dussehra’. The activity witnessed the enthusiastic participation of all the students of grades 1 to 5. This activity was organized to explore and encourage creativity in students and offer them a platform to show their skills in mask making. It inspired them to think and work creatively and promoted artistic excellence. The students were applauded for their innovative ideas and the efforts they put in.

PRESIDIANS REVIVE THE IDEAS OF GANDHIJI ON GANDHI JAYANTI

On 2nd October, India celebrates Gandhi Jayanti, the birthday of the great leader who gave the world the invincible weapons of truth, non-violence and compassion. Mahatma Gandhi always insisted on truth and non-violence as an inseparable part of humanity. The students of Presidium presented the assembly on the theme ‘Non-Violence’. The assembly began with a special tribute to the Father of Nation, and an eloquent thought that emphasized the importance of the concept of non-violence. Through a small yet exceptionally amazing skit, the students presented Gandhiji’s path of satya and ahimsa to fight against the Britishers. They also presented the philosophical and pragmatic ideals of Gandhiji. The students laid emphasis on non-violence with the thought of Gandhiji, “Anger is the enemy of non-violence and pride is a monster that swallows it up”.

The day witnessed enchanting beautiful songs specially for daughters. Students also recited beautiful and heart touching poems.
