PRESIDIANS PROPAGATE THE MESSAGE OF PEACE AND HARMONY

Peace Day is marked every year at Presidium to sensitize the children about the sufferings of war, its impact on humankind and how peace can be a stronger weapon than war. The students of grade 3 mesmerized the audience with a performance on the famous song ‘We Are The World’. In the special assembly, they listened to and sang different songs related to the occasion and devised different ways of helping other people in order to make the world a better place to live in. Lastly, the students were aligned in rows with banners and posters prepared by them for the Peace Rally to disseminate the message of ‘Peace and Prosperity’.

To mark Hindi Diwas, we at Presidium dedicated an entire week to the national language.The Hindi week started with the morning assembly stressing on the importance of Hindi our official language by the students of grade 1. The students presented a melodious song highlighting the relevance of Hindi language in the modern era and about how this language is the soul of our rich Indian culture. Few students sang an old Hindi Hymn and recited a poem . HAI YE HINDI’. They also spoke about the widespread of our National Language globally.The speakers at the Speakers’ Corner expressed their views on different Topics in Hindi. PRESIDIANS TALK ABOUT ‘LITERACY & MULTILINGUALISM’ ON LITERACY DAY

This year, International Literacy Day focuses on ‘Literacy and Multilingualism’. Despite progress made, literacy challenges persist, distributed unevenly across countries and populations. Embracing linguistic diversity in education and literacy development is central to addressing these literacy challenges and to achieving Sustainable Development Goals. The Presidians prepared pamphlets which were distributed to the spectators. The thought and talk presented in the morning assembly helped them to learn more about the importance of literacy. Special classroom activities were also conducted which reconnected the students to their favourite books.

UNIQUE TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATIONS WITH CHAIRPERSON, MRS.GUPTA

This year Teacher’s Day was celebrated in a very different way in our school. The students of grades 10 and 12 had planned the day in such a manner that there was never a dull moment. The day started with the Morning Assembly which was conducted by the teachers. Some sports activities like football and basketball match were conducted between senior students and the senior teachers. A game of musical chairs was also played which resulted in a lot of fun and laughter. Chairperson of Presidium Sudha Gupta Ma’am graced the Teachers Day celebrations and lit the ceremonial lamp along with Zonal Head to the chanting of auspicious Shloks. Later on, ma’am hailed her Presidium teachers and authentically praised them for their contribution in shaping young Presidians and for following school philosophy of Be what you want to be . She gave them an immensely thankful heartfelt message for being dedicated and resilient.
The day was marked by a special celebratory program for teachers which included games where many prizes could be won. This was followed by a grand delicious lunch.

Presidium School solemnly celebrated Teachers’ day with great gusto and gaiety. Students performed a scintillating cultural show to denote their love, respect, acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers towards their development. The cultural show incorporated poems, songs, dance and drama. They indicated that, teachers play a vital role in making their students accountable citizens of tomorrow and wonderful human beings. They are the cornerstone of students’ future and there’s nothing worth enough to gratify them for their selfless service and commitment.

PRISHA SINHA WINS THE NASA TRIP CONTEST! CONGRATULATIONS!

Our Presidians recently went on a trip to NASA organised by Aptence under Learnix Edutech Pvt. Ltd. It is a long term supplemental program for school students. Aptence uses adaptive technology to offer differentiated activities to students at all levels. Aptence helps students to learn independently and proactively. Our heartiest congratulations to the proud winner of NASA trip contest, Prisha Sinha! Our young achiever truly proved her mettle among so many participants. Such competitions are a stepping stone and each experience helps our students to grow and become true representatives of the nation.

STUDENTS REVEL IN GRAND CELEBRATIONS ON JANMASHTAMI

Janmashtami, Hindu festival celebrating the birth (janma) of the god Krishna on the eighth
(ashtami) day of the dark fortnight of the month of Bhadrapada (August–September). The
number eight has another significance in the Krishna legend in that he is the eighth child of his
mother, Devaki. Our school celebrated Janmasthami with a special assembly, where a skit, with diverse ‘Leelas’ of Sri Krishna, were enacted by the students illustrating the fact that whenever there will be dominance of malevolence ‘He’ will reincarnate to destroy the evil and save the good. It was nonetheless brought to life by the scintillating dance performances.This was followed by a couple of group songs on the childhood of Sri Krishna. A fancy dress competition for Nursery was also held where the girls were decked up as Radha and the boys as Sri Krishna. PRESIDIANS ADD WINGS TO THEIR DREAMS BY DEVELOPING A DRONE

Students of grade 9 and 10 are going to participate in a robotics competition in September. This
competition is organized by Technoxian. For the same, they have created a quad copter drone
with live camera recording. Young Aryan Rai Udish Arora, Tussahr Yadav and Om Pandya were behind making of Quadcopter at school but the person who took the lead and inspired them to do so is Ms.shweta kawshik, a science educator. Quadcopter unmanned aerial vehicles are used for surveillance and reconnaissance by military and law enforcement agencies, as well as search and rescue missions in urban environments.The students unleashed their creation in front of our honourable Chairperson, Mrs.Sudha Gupta who was stunned by their intelligence and efforts. Ma’am appreciated their hardwork and blessed them to return victorious from their competition.
