MEMORABLE WINTER CARNIVAL CELEBRATION WITH DEAR SUDHA MA’AM

The much-awaited 'Winter Carnival' was organized by Presidium with great gusto. The occasion was graced by the presence of our beloved Chairperson Sudha Gupta Ma'am for whom visiting us is always a homecoming. It was an event full of fun and frolic moments where our enthusiastic team of students and teachers showcased immense talent with the dance and musical cultural show. Amazing and innovative game stalls were organized by the young Presidians which gave opportunities to their friends and parents to have loads of fun and win exciting prizes. Mouthwatering snacks and scrumptious food stalls fulfilled everyone's guilty pleasures. The young ones enjoyed numerous rides and the 'Jam Session' was the highlight of the event.  It truly proved the quote, "The weather might be cold but at least our hearts are warm."

71st REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION WITH SUDHA MA'AM

With great zeal and enthusiasm, Presidium celebrated the 71st Republic Day in the school ground. The patriotic fervor warmed up the cold winter morning as the teachers, parents, and children of the school enthusiastically gathered to hoist the national flag. The event was graced by the presence of our respected Chairperson Mrs. Sudha Gupta. In her address to the gathering, she expressed pride in the rich cultural past of the country. She urged every student to work with honesty and dedication for the nation. This was followed by a medley of patriotic songs sung by the mellifluous school choir. Special attraction of the day was the special parade in the form of procession showcasing different freedom movements of India which played a major contribution in getting Independence. The program ended with the message to create a great nation through collective efforts from all individuals.

A MEMORABLE FAREWELL PARTY WITH SUDHA MA'AM

In an emotionally overwhelming atmosphere, a farewell party for the outgoing students of Grade XII (batch 2019-20) was organized at the school premises on 20th January, 2020. The function commenced with escorting of grade XII students to the beat of dholak in a traditional manner. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp and an inspirational speech by the honorable Chairperson Mrs Sudha Gupta. The thought-provoking speech touched the hearts of students. She wished them all the best for future endeavors and motivated them to achieve great heights in life, carrying forth the school motto “Be What You Want To Be.” The sophomore students came forward to share their experiences and memories. Lamhe: A PPT presentation prepared by the teachers, reminded the students of the glorious years they spent in the school.

The Citation Ceremony, a time-honored tradition was celebrated with majestic grandeur and fervor within the school campus to bless the students who would be leaving the school campus shortly. The function was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, our Honorable Chairperson, Mrs Sudha Gupta, and the School Zonal Head, Mrs. Amita Bhatia. Students displayed a wide spectrum of talent in the form of various performances. While addressing the gathering, the Chairperson, Mrs.Sudha Gupta, congratulated the young scholars and applauded the hard work of all the students. This was followed by the moment everyone was waiting for, conferring blessings and citation to all the students of Grade-XII by the Chairperson.

New dreams, new days, new desires and new ways lead to newer avenues as the good times and treasures of the present become the golden memories of tomorrow. A New Year celebration took place in Presidium to bid farewell to 2019. The celebration began with a different style for greeting and conveying heart-warming welcome to the staff, and some activities were designed for the teachers of Presidium. All the in charges provided for a vibrant devoir which set forth the newer beginning on a newer level. The musical beginning offered the perfect platform to all to share some moments of jollity and merriment singing and dancing to the innovative style of the old age Antakshari, starting from varied names for teams and rounds. The Chairperson, Mrs Sudha Gupta graced the celebrations and wished for the success and prosperity of the staff.

A RELAXING YOGA AND MEDITATION SESSION FOR PRESIDIANS

Yoga is a systematic practice of physical exercise, breath control, relaxation, and positive thinking and meditation is aimed at developing harmony in the body, mind, and environment. To inculcate healthier lifestyle in our students’ routine, we conducted a session of yoga and meditation for our grade 5 students. They learned and practiced different asanas like Suryanamaskar, Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Shashankasana,which was followed by a peaceful meditation session. Students were very excited to learn the asanas and felt relaxed after the meditation session.

AVIK REIGNS IN ANOTHER ACCOLADE IN NORTHERN INDIAN HORSE SHOW

Avik Bhatia, a student of grade 6 recently participated in the Northern Indian Horse Show 2019 and has bagged a gold and a silver medal. He is an avid horse rider and has been pursuing this sport for the last three years and  has been a part of horse shows in different states and has secured awards in majority of them. He has also cleared the Regional Equestrian league and has secured qualification for the prestigious Junior National Equestrian Championship. Avik is a shining example of excellence in avenues only few pursue and serves as a beacon of light to Presidians who wish to take uncharted paths and succeed at them.

PRESIDIANS COMPREHEND THE TOPIC- LENGTH WITH FUN ACTIVITY

The standard unit of length in maths is Metre. To build the understanding and the importance of bigger units such as metre and smaller units such as Centimetre, the students did an activity of 1 metre scale. To get hands on experience of this activity students of grade 3 first measured different objects in their surrounding from a small strip or scale of 10 cm such as , eraser, sharpener and school bag. Later they tried to measure the length of the corridor which was not feasible with a centimetre scale, so they used a 1m scale strip for that. It was a fun learning activity for the students.

Appreciation not only makes a person happy and joyful but also creates bridges of motivation and inspiration which leads to success eventually.  Acknowledging efforts, talents and attributes give the tender hearts, a sense of being loved. We at Presidium really believe that the students must receive appreciation and acknowledgment at the end of every term so that their confidence always remains boosted. With constant love, motivation and inspiration they will become capable enough to convert their signatures into autographs. Thus, we organized an Appreciation Day to acknowledge their significant contribution in each term. They were felicitated with special certificates of recognition for their best qualities.
