25th November, is considered as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. To commemorate this day, Presidium held an Essay Writing Competition for grades 9-12. All the students participated enthusiastically in the event. The participants contributed their views on the issue, calling for solidarity with women and intensifying our efforts to find solutions and measures to stop this preventable global scourge. The competition also brought out the talent and creativity of the students.

Harsh Aggarwal, a student of grade 3 bagged a gold medal in North India Karate Championship in the event IND KUMITE Under 9 category.

Vritee Manchanda, a student of grade 6,  recently received the Stardom Award for her achievements in the entertainment industry by Actors Buddy, Best Model of the Year Award by India Rising Kidz and has walked many fashion shows as a Show Stopper. She has also received India Shining Diamond Award (Best Kid Model & Actor) by Anti Corruption foundation of India and India Star Proud Award 2019 by India Star Books of Record. Her recent TV commercial on Brucellosis - Mission Arogya Pashu was launched by The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji and was highly appreciated by all. She was also invited to many events and fashion shows as a celebrity guest or special guest to encourage and motivate little budding models and artist. She has become a role- model for many aspiring Presidians.

Presidians add another golden feather to the school’s hat. They have brought laurels by winning 11 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 2 bronze medals in the 12th RSFI District Skating Competition which was organized by District Roller Skating.

Presidians of grade 11 performed an experiment to test the presence of glucose, sucrose, starch, protein, and fat in given food samples. Each student was provided with apparatus and samples of wheat, potato, groundnut, milk and cooking oil. They were thrilled while performing the food tests and observing a change in color of the food samples.

Students of grade 12 performed an experiment on Volumetric Analysis. They were asked to prepare the M/20 standard solution of Mohr's salt and using that solution they performed titration with potassium permanganate solution. They took three concordant readings and using those readings they calculated molarity & strength of Potassium permanganate solution. The students showed deep interest in the experiment.

Presidians performed excellent in all the routines on all the apparatus. Four teams played in SGFI District Chess Championship and added another golden feather to Presidium’s hat. Abhi Nebhnani won 5th position, Rajrajeshwari Yogesh Deshmukh and Shatakshi Dey won 2nd position. These players got selected for SGFI State Chess Championship and made the school proud again with their winning performances as both the girls, Rajrajeshwari and Shatakshi secured first position.

Ashlesha Singh, a well rounded performer and kathak dancer has been recently awarded with the most prestigious award in Gurugram-Gurugram Achievers Award 2019, Young Achievers for being a dedicated and skilled kathak dancer with amazing expressions. She also got the opportunity to perform live on a huge platform at Kingdom of Dreams in front of all the eminent personalities. The audience was spellbound by her splendid performance. 

A special assembly was conducted in Presidium on the National Unity Day. The students shared their views on the significance of unity through various examples. A beautiful poem was recited on the theme followed by a skit emphasizing the importance of cooperation, team strength and sharing among ourselves for the betterment of society. The assembly ended with a dance on the motivational song.  Presidians expressed the significance of unity through various quotes like unity is strength and division is weakness and thousands of drops together makes an ocean. 

Diwali is one of the biggest festivals celebrated all over India with great enthusiasm. In Presidium, a special assembly was conducted by the grade 5 students to celebrate this beautiful festival of lights Diwali. The assembly started with gayatri mantra and shlokas from Ramayana. After that a skit was presented by the students showing the importance of Laxmi puja on this auspicious day. The class presented a beautiful dance performance in the end along with a special message of spreading light of humanity, kindness and love in the society.
