SPELL WIZARDS PERFORM WONDERFULLY AT GLOBAL SPELL BEE COMPETITION
After a successful 9th Edition, the enthusiastic and excited Presidians of grades 1 to 10 were ready for the 10th edition of the Global Spelling Bee Championship 2018-2019 in association with Educational Events of India. English is a very important part of the globalised world and Presidians are ready to take on the world with their excellent command over language. The students displayed their prowess in grammar and vocabulary. The unmatched competitive spirit and confidence of our spell wizards helped them achieve the heights to success. Such competitions and exposure help students gain great knowledge and enhance their cognitive skills.
PRESIDIUM GURGAON CELEBRATES THE SUCCESS OF VRITEE MANCHANDA.
Vritee Manchanda, the nine years old budding artist of Presidium Gurgaon, not only excels in her studies but also holds a green belt in taekwondo. She is passionate about dancing, loves to draw and is an animal lover to the core. Her achievement in the entertainment industry has made the school very proud. She has established her name as the most revered artist for advertisements and videos. She has received many awards like Young Achievers award, Best Child Model Award and Child Artist Award for the movie ‘Summer Camp’ at the IMWA Awards.
PRESIDIANS INVOKE THE BLESSINGS OF GODDESS DURGA ON 'NAVRATRI'

To invoke the blessings of Maa Durga the the students of Presidium celebrated the beginning of the nine day festival of Navratri. The celebration started by seeking the blessings from Goddess Durga to protect Presidians from evils. Students were told about the importance of nine days of Navratri. Students of grade 4 presented the nine forms of Goddess Durga and told their significance. A special prayer was sung by the choir group of the school coupled with a special dance performance. On this auspicious day, students sought the blessings of the Goddess of Power, who steers us away from the vexation of life.
PRESIDIANS SHOWCASE THEIR I.T KNOWLEDGE AT ‘IT WEEK CELEBRATION’
“Information Technology is so built into our lives that it’s art of the surround of every artist“. The ICT department of Presidium Gurgaon recently organised IT Week, 2018. Our little Presidians of grades 1 to 3 participated enthusiastically in this Intra-Class competition. The students were given themes like Seasons and Diwali and they created Cards and posters using various softwares like Tux Paint, MS Paint and MS Word. Colorful, exceptional and truly imaginative creations were showcased by our budding techies. The competition aimed at exploring the innovative talent of the little techno-savvy Presidians, which they expressed using Information Technology.
PRESIDIUM GURGAON BECOMES CHAMPION AT SGFI CRICKET TOURNAMENT
School Games Federation of India (SGFI) U14 Cricket Tournament was recently organised at Drona Sports Village, Sector 64 for the schools of Gurugram District. A total of 34 schools from the District participated in the event. Presidium Gurgaon became the Champion after beating Suncity School in the Final. We feel pride in declaring that 5 of our Presidians got selected for the SGFI U14 State (Haryana) team.
The state level Cricket tournament was held at Balaji Cricket Academy, Jhajjar, Haryana. We congratulate the winning team and the meritorious students.
SGFI SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP: PRESIDIANS SKATE TO VICTORY
Presidians prove once again that they are true champions and are the leaders of tomorrow at the SGFI Skating Competition held at village Baliawas track, Gurugram organised by DOE. Our talented students of Presidium Gurgaon won 5 medals, 3 Gold & 2 Bronze. Anisha Yadav won 2 Gold medals, Lavyansh Khandodiya won 1 Gold and Ruhi Sharma bagged 2 Bronze medals. Congratulations to all the winners and their mentors.
GANDHI JAYANTI: PRESIDIANS VOW TO FOLLOW GANDHIJI'S PATH OF LIFE

With these sentiments a special assembly was conducted on Gandhi Jayanti which began with a ‘Sarva Dharma Prarthana’ followed by the prayer song ‘Raghupathi Raghava Rajaram’ by the school choir. The students enacted a skit reminding the early days of Gandhiji and his leadership for freedom through ‘Dandi March’ and showed the three wise monkeys with the message- ’see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil’. The assembly culminated with the oath of non-violence and a promise to follow Gandhi’s principles in their life.
EXPLORING THE ANIMAL KINGDOM WITH SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY
Learning with the help of visual tools helps the students to understand and memorize different topics with great ease. Keeping this in mind a ‘Show and Tell’ activity was organised for the students of grade 3 on the theme Animals in EVS. They researched on their favourite animal and presented it through Chart papers. It was amazing to see the choice of the animals ranging from extinct animals like Irish deer, T-Rex to water animals and the largest terrestrial animal. Students shared facts about whale, parrot, bear, lion, elephants, rabbit etc. Apart from their academic syllabus they learnt a lot about different animals. They enhanced their creative and speaking skills and emerged as confident speakers.
CELEBRATING THE IDEALS OF NON VIOLENCE ON INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY
‘Although International Peace Day is just one day, our celebrations here remind us all that every day can be a peace day and that we can all make decisions that are mindful of peace.’ Students of Presidium Gurgaon celebrated International Day of Peace with great enthusiasm. Students, teachers and staff gathered in a special assembly which started with the prayer ‘Tu he Ram hai Tu Raheem hai’, followed by a pledge for peace. Slokas of “Shanti” were chanted by the entire school. Students gave speeches on the relevance of peace and recited poems. They also participated and shared their own views on peace and kindness.
PRESIDIANS PRESENT WONDERFUL TALES AT STORY READING COMPETITION
The importance of reading cannot be underestimated, as reading stretches the child’s mind and introduces him/her to the a world of wonder that is literature. Keeping this in mind, students were asked to find tales of their interest and read them out to the audience. Choosing and preparing a short story to read, motivated the students to actively explore literature from this part of the world. Furthermore, the competition encouraged students to practice pronunciation and listen to others. They read out their stories with clarity, correct accentuation and voice modulation. The students realized that the stories offered many facets, that of suspense, entertainment and information and the students were filled with a new curiosity.
