Presidium is proud of its young talent Abhijay Srivastava of Grade 5th from Presidium Gurgaon Senior for making a successful beginning in the world of meaningful cinema. He has acted in a lead role in the movie called Kala Sach-The Black Truth. Abhijay has delivered a heart rending performance in the movie. He portrays the role of a little child whose mother is tortured and ill treated in the garb of witch-hunting, a social evil which is still practiced in India.
Our Chairperson along with our shining star Abhijay Srivastava attended the Poster and Trailer launch event of the film on 20th July at Oyster Beach, Appu Ghar, Gurgaon. Also, Presidians were invited to perform at the music launch of the film at Hotel Royal Plaza, Delhi on 28th July.
Here’s wishing Abhijay and the whole team of Kala Sach, a great success!
Presidium’s faculty from Gurgaon Senior attended an informative program organized by Expressions India on ‘National Life Skills, Values Education and Wellness’. It was held on 15 July 2015 at Moolchand Medicity.
Dr Jitendra Nagpal, Program Director, Expressions India, addressed the audience and said that, “the need of the hour is to connect with the students. Connectivity is the hallmark of teachers' relation with the students. Teachers' behaviour impacts the students for the entire life. In today's scenario, when India is grappling with life style disorders, cyber addiction, junk food addiction, role of a teacher as a counsellor has become crucial.”
The chief guest, Ms Nidhi Sirohi shared some valuable inputs from her own personal experiences. In her opinion, there is a need to sensitize teachers about the various issues and problems of the students. A good rapport between a teacher and a student helps the student to confide in a teacher.
Dr. Ruchika, a Clinical Psychologist explained the importance of appropriate body language and careful choice of words while dealing with children with problems.
Dr Pooja conducted an activity wherein all the participants were divided into groups and asked to list common emotional, behavioural and learning problems in children. The activity was followed by a very interactive discussion about the solution to these problems.
Senior Psychologist, Saima Nafis Khan discussed the adolescent’s mental health scenario in India. The session was winded up by Dr.Ruchika who discussed a few case studies, suggestions and remedial actions to be taken up by a teacher.
It was a great opportunity for our faculty members to gain an insight into the relationship between a teacher and student and the importance of dealing with children’s problems.
Abhijay Shrivastava of Grade 3 Sector-57 Branch makes all of us proud by getting selected as the lead male child artist for a feature film Black Truth under the banner of J.D. Pictures in Mumbai.
