DISTRICT SCHOOL SKATING 2017: PRESIDIANS GLIDE TOWARDS VICTORY

Built with such a strong character to settle for nothing less than winning, Presidians from Gurgaon participated in the District School Skating Competition 2017. Organized by SGFI Gurgaon at Baliawas Track, the 5 day competition witnessed massive partaking of around 20-25 schools from all over Gurgaon District. We congratulate our 2 budding skaters, who proved their mettle at the competition by securing prestigious ranks. Anisha Yadav from 7th grade got 3rd position in 500m race in under - 14 girls quads category and Nishita Saroha from 8th grade got 2nd position in 300, 500 & 1000m race in under - 17 girls inline category.
Congratulations and cheers to Anisha, Nishita and their mentors! Best of luck for the state level competition!
WISE DEBATERS OF PRESIDIUM GURGAON QUALIFY FOR NATIONAL MAHABEHES

To give our students a platform to learn and outshine speaking qualities, Presidium Gurgaon recently hosted BEHES, a healthy debate competition, wherein over 165 students from 10 different schools from Delhi NCR participated. There were two divisions cubs (6th to 8th grade students) and lions (9th to 12th grade students). Showcasing commendable amalgamation, all of the debaters presented impeccable points before the house in order to achieve the title of 'winner'. These budding debaters really had great ideas and noteworthy speaking skills. The two day Behes was not only a competition, but also an open forum, wherein the students gave their opinion to make the world a better place to reside.
At the end, the winners were rewarded with certificates, trophies and medals to prize their hard work and determination. We are proud to announce that 5 teams of Cubs and 1 team of Lions division of Presidium Gurgaon qualified for National Mahabehes to be held in December. Our budding debaters also bagged Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for being in the top speakers in both the categories. This BEHES competition actually left students with substantive ideas and facts which can be helpful for them in their day to day life.
PRESIDIANS OF GURGAON DISCOVER THE BEAUTIFUL ART OF MASK MAKING
Masks are among the most universal of art forms. In most cultures, ancient or modern, primitive or sophisticated, masks have always been used. To give young Presidians of Gurgaon an exposure to the beautiful art of mask making. The students considered the concept of Halloween and masquerade parties with animal theme to create their masks with bright and vibrant colours. Enjoying the fun-filled activity and sharing their colourful masks with each other, the students relished this unique learning experience.
PRESIDIANS TASTE THE FOREIGN FLAVOUR OF HALLOWEEN AT PRESIDIUM
To encourage students to appreciate differences in cultures and customs and also to make them aware of global festivals, the Presidians of Gurgaon recently celebrated Halloween. Packed with unmatched fervour, the students came dressed as devils, witches, angels and fairies. The scary skeletons, pumpkins and fearful masks of ghosts evoked thrill among students as well as the staff members, turning classrooms and school foyer into fun-filled spooky corners for the Halloween party. Dancing on the tunes of foot tapping numbers, the Presidians enjoyed the day thoroughly. They played tricks and feast with everyone to mark the welcoming of good spirits and driving away of the bad spirits in their lives.
PRESIDIANS CREATE A PIOUS ATMOSPHERE IN SCHOOL ON GURPURAB
Keeping with the secular ethos of Presidium, a special assembly was recently put up by the students of grade 3 to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The children informed the audience about the significance of Gurpurab, the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism. A pious atmosphere was created by the shabad sung by the melodious Presidians and they made the audience aware about various teachings of Guru Nanak. It was truly, a blissful day!
AAPNO GHAR TRIP REJUVENATES PRESIDIANS AMID FRESH AIR & SUNSHINE
Playing outdoors promotes well-being and physical development!
Kids are naturally drawn to playing outside and there are numerous benefits of outdoor play including exploring the environment, developing muscle strength and coordination, and gaining self-confidence. To develop better inter-personal relationships amongst little children of Presidium Gurgaon, a trip to Aapno Ghar was recently organized. Besides rejuvenating the young Presidians, the fun-filled trip also gave them a chance to use their muscles to run, swing, jump, skate and ride a bike. It was a beautiful experience out in the fresh air and sunshine!

At Presidium, we believe in raising a generation of young achievers by giving them the wings to dream and appreciating their hardwork and passion time to time. To recognize the Presidians of Gurgaon for their extraordinary achievements in academics, sports and co-curricular activities, a grand ceremony - the CHAIRPERSON HONOURS was recently organized. Graced by Mrs. Sudha Gupta, the honorable Chairperson of Presidium, the ceremony congratulated more than 700 young scholars with certificates of recognition. Offering such a majestic honour to our 'leaders of tomorrow', the event built their confidence and strengthened their determination to achieve more in life. Packed with overwhelm and excitement to see their young lads being appreciated for their year-around uphill struggle, the parents relished every moment of this unforgettable experience.
GIRL POWER OF PRESIDIUM STRIKES BRONZE AT TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT

Presidium feels immensely proud to mentor such brilliant champions, who have proved their mettle yet again. In a recently organized table tennis tournament, the girl power of Presidium won bronze medal in under 14 girls category. The tough team was represented by the young achievers Aarohi Saxena and Sia Saini from grade 8 and Kasak jain and Minal Hota from grade 7. Held at Path Finder Global School, Pataudi, the competition witnessed humongous participation of students from 16 schools but our gifted tennis stars performed amazingly well.

PRESIDIANS OF GURGAON PLEDGE THEIR SUPPORT TO RALLY FOR RIVERS
Rivers are the lifelines for all life forms. All the civilizations in our world were born, grew, and developed on the banks of rivers. They are the veins of the earth through which life flows and make our planet habitable and beautiful. We at Presidium Gurgaon, always strive to raise a generation of environmentalists and in reference to Sadhguru's noble campaign of 'Rally for Rivers', our grade 2 students recently presented a special assembly. Showcasing the importance of rivers and water in our life, they shared different ways rivers can make our life better. An enlightening PPT was shown to the little Presidians to educate them about how are we abolishing our own natural wealth – rivers. Mesmerizing everyone with their dance performance focusing on the necessity to 'save water and rivers', the students requested the audience to put efforts to save Ganga and many such rivers, which are on the verge of extinction. We must preserve our rivers because our own preservation is directly linked to their conservation.
PRESIDIANS FONDLY CELEBRATE THE DELIGHTFUL FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
The celebration of Diwali, the festival of lights, came alive at Presidium Gurgaon when the whole school wore a festive look with diyas and rangolis, adorning the corridors and the assembly area in bright colours. Students suggested ways of making the Diwali celebrations environmentally-friendly with a brief talk, which was followed by a foot-tapping dance on song 'aai Diwali' to highlight the festivity and good cheer of the festival. The young Presidians talked about the significance of the festival - how good always conquered the evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Besides sensitizing the students to the ill-effects of crackers, the assembly concluded with a beautiful message of a clean, peaceful and bright Diwali. One and all appreciated the assembly, applauded the performers and encouraged the students to celebrate a pollution-free Diwali.
