Our adorable little Presidians recently expressed love and gratitude for their very special grandparents by celebrating a Grandparents Day, wherein all the grandparents were invited. They were welcomed in a traditional manner with tilak and flowers. Later, they witnessed a very special performance by the Presidians, dedicated to them. Grandparents really enjoyed playing various games and also walked gracefully on ramp. They were appreciated for their efforts and it was a delight to see them revisiting their college days. Our little champs also sang prayers and bhajans which filled everybody’s heart with various shades of worship. It was a wonderful day where virtues of togetherness, love, respect and unity were celebrated beautifully.
LEARNING TO SUSTAIN HEALTHY TEETH & GUMS FOR OPTIMUM ORAL HYGIENE
Prevention is better than cure and following a daily hygiene routine will ensure that you have healthy teeth and gums. In continuation of human endeavour by Dr. Khosla’s Dental Clinic, a free dental check-up and awareness camp was recently organized at Presidium, Gurugram. A team of senior specialist dental surgeons and para-medical staff carried out a comprehensive dental check-up on students of all grades. The camp was initiated with dental awareness talk, educating students about common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay and gum diseases and measures to prevent them. The students were highlighted about the eating patterns and food choices which cause tooth decay. On completion of the dental check-up each student was given a report summary of the diagnosed problem and the recommended dental treatment plan.
PRESIDIANS MAKE IT TO WORLD SCHOLAR’S CUP'S INTERNATIONAL ROUND
Designed to challenge students and developing them as global citizens, whilst allowing them to interact with peers from around the globe, the World Scholar’s Cup is an international enrichment program. The students from Presidium Gurugram formed 6 teams and participated in this grand program, organised at Sun City International School, Gurugram. To be competitive at the World Scholar’s Cup, an enormous amount of planning and commitment is required and these students had prepared for the lead-up events for more than a week. This preparation includes mastering a wide range of topics across six key subjects including Science & Technology, History, Literature, Art, Music and Social Studies.
The students competed in four events over the course of two long days. Their topics were related to the key subjects all centred around the theme of ‘An Entangled World’. All participants performed extremely well and their hard work, passion and commitment were very evident. Our students brought many laurels to the school along with their rich experience. They have qualified for the international round to be held in Kuala Lampur, Barcelona and Melbourne. With the Finals a mere few months away, we wish our students a wonderful experience in these destinations and trust that this will be a truly life changing event for each one of them.
PRESIDIUM STANDS FOR BULLY PROOF CLASSROOMS ON ANTI-BULLYING DAY
This Anti-Bullying Day, the counseling and special education team of Presidium Gurugram kick-started an Anti-Bullying Campaign to make all the students aware about this crucial topic. Every class discussed about the impact of bullying and the importance of being a buddy not a bully. This was done through role plays, discussions, poster making, slogan writing, and wearing a purple band to show their stand against bullying. We, at Presidium have now formed three Anti-Bullying Squads (junior school, middle school and senior school), and wish to organize more fruitful sessions with teachers as well as parents so that everyone can take a stand on this issue.
MOTHER'S DAY 2018: CELEBRATING THE ETERNAL BOND OF LOVE
A mother is always there to support us and be there for us in all our good and tough times!
To pay a tribute to all the beloved mothers, a special assembly was recently conducted on the occasion of Mother’s Day at Presidium, Gurugram. The Presidians humbly conveyed a beautiful message that ‘mother is the one who always takes care of us’. They also highlighted the importance of mothers in our life. A mesmerizing dance was also performed which left the audience in awe of ‘motherhood’. The wonderful assembly culminated with a promise to always listen to their mothers and never hurt them.

We hereby congratulate our grade 6 students Anika Raizada, Madhav Aggarwal, Anubhav Dubey and Prakhar Gupta for bagging first positions in the Regional Olympic NCR – A WORLD IN MOTION (AWIM) and for qualifying for the nationals. The students prepared a toy car made of paper and wheels, which worked on air pressure and presented a skit which amazed the judges and audience. This was an initiative to promote interests among students in science organized by SAE Northern India Section in association with Maruti Suzuki India Limited and other partners.

OUR GIRL POWER STRIKES INTER-PRESIDIUM TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT

The young students of Presidium Gurugram recently participated in the 3rd Inter-Presidium Table Tennis Tournament Championship, packed with boundless zeal and euphoria. The event was graced by the honourable chairperson of Presidium, our dearest Sudha Ma'am, who also humbly shared the table tennis court with the young athletes. Witnessing participation of more than 132 students from different branches, the competition featured 30 matches under different age categories for both Boys and Girls. Our budding tennis stars of Under-15 Girls category received the Runners-Up trophy, shield and certificate from Sudha Ma'am, which ignited a fire in their hearts for doing better in their future endeavours!

To appreciate our young scholars of Presidium Gurugram for their hardwork and passion, reflecting in their extraordinary achievements in academics, sports and co-curricular activities, a grand ceremony - the CHAIRPERSON HONOURS was recently organized. Graced by Mrs. Sudha Gupta, the honourable Chairperson of Presidium, the ceremony congratulated more than 700 young scholars with certificates of recognition. Our 'leaders of tomorrow' were overwhelmed to have received such an honour and seemed more determined than ever to achieve more in life. Packed with pride and excitement to see their young lads being appreciated for their year-around uphill struggle, the parents captured this unforgettable experience in their cameras and hearts forever.

To provide our young students of Presidium Gurugram, ample impact, influence and inspiration to take up big responsibilities in their future endeavours, an Investiture ceremony was recently organized. In the ceremony, our senior students were recognized for their promising leadership and extraordinary contribution to the school by bestowing them with responsibility and authority to lead their school through the student council. The honourable chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta, graced this event and very proudly, designated various esteemed titles like head girl & boy, presidents of clubs. Prizing the commitment, confidence and capability of our leaders of tomorrow, the ceremony served as an encouragement to do better for their peers.
SPIC MACAY EVENT ENLIVENS WITH MS. LOWEN'S SOULFUL PERFORMANCE
Presidium Senior Gurgaon recently hosted a cultural programme by SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth) known for its splendid performances at various institutions all over the country-and a philosophy that transcends mere intellectual performance. The students witnessed a splendid performance by Ms. Sharon Lowen, who is ranked amongst the finest proponents of three forms of Indian classical dance – Odissi, Chau and Manipuri. Grace, dignity, values and a touch of mysticism were all embedded in her impeccable performance. The audience was enlightened with the nuances of the dance form, which she stressed had been acquired by her close and intimate observations of the surroundings. This event truly inspired young minds and imbibed intrinsic details in them about the field of dance.
