The two day long gala event, Future Fest 2019, held at Siri Fort Auditorium on 16th & 17th February saw some of the most entertaining and spectacular performances by our young leaders of tomorrow. It was a celebration of the genius, skill, ideas, passion, craft and talents of our young Presidians. The event began with a soulful rendition of Ganesh Vandana followed by performances on various social issues and a tribute to our brave soldiers. The enthusiasm and energy of the young performers could be felt in the auditorium as the audience cheered for the Presidians.

Chirag Khandal, a student of grade 9, is an enthusiastic equestrian rider with enormous love for horses. Equestrian, often called as horse riding or horse backing, is a complete combination of three disciplines of dressage, cross-country and show jumping. He has now around 68 medals including national, regional and international events.He is going places with his passion. His ever supporting family and elegant horses contribute majorly to his success. PRESIDIANS EXPLORE THEME OF TRAVEL & TRANSPORT WITH TBL ACTIVITY

We all travel from one place to another. By nature, children are keen observers and hence ask a lot of questions related to the places they visit. Bringing students’ observations into the curriculum helps them feel included and connected. So, under the theme ‘Travel’ students of grade 2 built upon their previous knowledge and established a clear connection between what they have observed and the new concepts and skills they are learning. They learned about the factors that contribute to the selection of means of travel. The cost of tickets, facilities offered, distance covered and time taken to cover that distance are the factors that influence the choice of a means and mode of travel. Students also played a Board game related to theme ‘Travel’ They thoroughly enjoyed while playing this game and it gave them an opportunity to have a hands on experience related to travel including the monetary transactions. It proved to be a fun filled learning activity for students.

Students of grade 8 of Presidium Palam Vihar recently participated in the Technofest held at Presidium Gurgaon 57, where more than 10 schools participated with their teams. There were various categories in the competition such as Soccer Robot, Graphic Designing, Game Development, Paper Plane Making and Movie Making. Our students participated as team “Tech Force” in the category -Movie Making on the topic-‘Women Empowerment-Then & Now’. The students performed outstandingly and bagged the 2nd position in the competition. Mrs Sudha Gupta ,the Chairperson of Presidium was the chief guest. Ma’ama actively interacted with the participants and motivated students to expand their knowledge in technology as it is the need of the hour.

Republic day celebrations take place with patriotic fervor and zest in schools as the students learn about India’s political history, freedom struggle and the Constitution as a part of their curriculum. Keeping with the tradition, Presidium Gurgaon celebrated the 70th Republic Day with great enthusiasm. Ammaji Mrs. Raj Rani Gupta, Shri Jagmohan, Ms. Aparna Gupta and other guests joined the students for the celebrations. With great performances, students depicted how the great sons of the motherland fought to attain freedom and made India a sovereign state. The soulful performances inspired and infused everyone with the feeling of patriotism.

PRESIDIANS LEARN ABOUT ‘HTML’ IN A FUN COMPUTER SESSION

In today’s globalised world, technology plays a vital role. Keeping this in mind, Presidium Gurgaon recently introduced a new computer language to the students of grade 8. In an interesting computer session, Presidians learned about the Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML). Students learned to design attractive web pages using hyperlinks, protocols and other types of tags with the help of HTML. It was a great learning experience for the students.
