Students of grade 8 learned to make pie charts to analyze, communicate information, and draw conclusions from the data. They investigated that the sum of the measures of the angles of sectors about the center is 360 degrees. Students also went over the pie chart with the fine tooth-comb to solve what percentage of the whole each segment represents. Interpretation of data in pie charts to answer questions was also one of the skills enhanced during the activity.
