Akshay Urja Diwas is an awareness campaign about the developments of renewable energy in India, celebrated on August 20 every year since 2004. The day commemorates the birthday of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi. In the virtual assembly of grade 5E, the students were well dressed with their informative posters, quotes, song, and the working model showing usage of wind and solar energy. Students started the assembly with National news, sports news, and Thought of the Day. Few students made beautiful posters to spread awareness about Renewable energy and its importance in our lives. Students were expressing themselves with full confidence and the importance of celebrating Akshay Urja Diwas for the development of our country was clearly depicted in their sharing. They also pledged to switch to renewable energy sources and go green to ensure sustainable development.
