Guru or teacher has always been considered akin to a God in the Hindu culture. The term 'Guru' derives its meaning from the combination of two Sanskrit words- 'Gu' meaning Darkness, and ‘Ru’ meaning ‘A person who eliminates Darkness.’ The auspicious occasion of rendering gratitude to the mentors' GURU PURNIMA was celebrated virtually by Grade 3D students. The assembly began with the recitation of the Gayatri Mantra. During the online sessions, students narrated the Dohas and Shlokas to praise the existence of Guru in one’s life and the transformations they go through while the teachers and mentors shape them meticulously. Students also expressed their grateful thoughts to their teachers. The assembly not only multiplied their happiness but helped them immensely in understanding the importance of Guru in a person’s life.
