YOUNG PRESEDIANS LEARN ABOUT THE CONCEPT OF ‘LENGTH’
Understanding Mathematics can be a little tricky sometimes. To help students learn some of the basic concepts of Mathematics, an interesting activity was conducted for the students of grade 2 on the topic ‘Length’. Students were told about the different ways of measuring length- Non Standard Units of Measurement and Standard Unit of Measurement. Students measured the length using their hand span & scale and compared their findings. It was a great teaching tool as they learned about various concepts related to Length in an interesting and fun way.
YOUNG SKATERS EMERGE VICTORIOUS AT THE CBSE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP
The budding champions of Presidium Gurgaon bagged laurels at the CBSE Skating Championship. The hard work and dedication of the young students helped them to achieve the awards in various categories. We congratulate the winners for their stupendous performance and wish them luck for their future endeavours.

To express their heartfelt gratitude for their generous donation, Sparsh students recently visited the students of Presidium Gurgaon. Students enjoyed the wonderful interactive session as they admired the spirit of the special children of Sparsh. It was a wonderful time spent with the lovely souls of Sparsh.
PRESIDIANS USE ‘DIENE’S BLOCKS’ TO UNDERSTAND CUBES & CUBOIDS
Learning by doing is one of the main teaching tool here at Presidium. Continuing with the initiative, a maths activity was recently conducted at Presidium Gurgaon to teach students about calculating volume of cubes and cuboids using diene’s blocks. Students were able to identify the length, breadth and height of the cuboids and found out the volume by counting the number of blocks used. With this activity, students were able to generate the formula as well. The activity helped them visualise the shapes and understand the theory behind the formula.
PRESIDIANS LEARN ABOUT THE PROPERTIES OF AIR WITH AN EXPERIMENT
Presidium believes in using experiments to make understanding of the important concepts of science interesting. With this thought, Presidium Gurgaon recently organised a science activity for the students of grade 4 on the topic expansion of hot and cold air. Student used balloons and a plastic bottle to understand the expansion of hot air and the resultant loss in weight. The behaviour of cold air was also observed as it affected the balloon. It was a great learning experience for the young Presidians.
WORLD DISABILITY DAY: SALUTING THE SPIRIT THE SPECIAL BEINGS!
With an aim to build an understanding that everyone is equal and all should be respected, World Disability Day was recently celebrated at Presidium Gurgaon. Students presented the idea of respecting all irrespective of their abilities and disabilities through a ‘nukkad natak’. This was followed by their view about the importance of love and harmony through a wonderful dance performance. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
PRESIDIANS SHARE THEIR MOMENT OF VICTORY WITH MRS. SUDHA GUPTA
Students of grade 11 of Presidium Gurgaon got the opportunity of presenting an integrated working model, ‘Solution to Pollution’ at an event organised by the Northcap University. It was a moment of pride for Presidium when the school’s model was adjudged the best and the students were awarded the first prize. To share their moment of victory, Presidians met honourable Chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta and enthusiastically discussed with Ma’am the concept behind their work. The models explained how to reduce the effects of smoke produced by industries along with the physical, chemical and biological effects on life and the ecosystem. Mrs. Gupta congratulated the young Presidians for their achievement and motivated them to keep on working towards the betterment of our environment.

To mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji, a special assembly was conducted by the students of grade 3. The assembly started with a morning prayer followed by thought of the day. Students were enlightened about the significance of Gurpurab and various rituals associated with this festival. A pious atmosphere was created by the shabad rendition. Presidians talked about how Guru Nanak Dev ji believed that God is omnipresent, shapeless, timeless and sightless. Students also threw some light on how Gurpurab is celebrated by the Sikh community through a presentation. The assembly was really special as every aspect of the festival was wonderfully depicted.

The talented and budding stars of Presidium Gurgaon proved once again that hard work and willingness always ensures success. It was a moment of great pride for the school when Presidians clinched the top honours at the Inter School Festival organised by Lancers International School. Students from grades 3-8 participated in various competitions like painting, duet singing, theatre, dance, western band and western choir in both junior and senior categories. We congratulate all the victorious students and participants for their commendable efforts.
