In keeping with our tradition of celebrating all festivals with fervor, the students of class III-A organized a special assembly to mark Baisakhi. The assembly commenced with the prayer “Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu.” Few students came forward by turn to speak about the origin of Baisakhi and they threw light on the importance of Baisakhi. This was followed by a sonorous group song. Later a foot taping “Bhangra” dance performance was presented by the students. The assembly concluded with the depiction of Baisakhi. The students were dressed up in beautiful Punjabi attires and showed how the harvest festival is celebrated.
