The 8th edition of Presidium Model United Nations 2021 on the theme of ‘Presidium Stands in Solidarity Against Human Crisis’ began on 13 August 2021. The Presidium faculty and Secretariat exhibited their own solidarity in alignment with the theme and perfect coordination in intricately planning every aspect of the two-day conference. After a grand opening ceremony graced by the chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta, on the first day, the digital space hummed with excitement, enthusiasm, and camaraderie as the participants donned the mantle of diplomats. The Secretariat and the Executive Board put the newcomers at ease and soon the concurrent committee sessions were filled with crisp speeches and intense deliberations. The delegates engaged in formal debates which encompassed parliamentary procedures and diplomatic protocols. The young speakers displayed their skills of public speaking, negotiation, and persuasion as they skillfully maneuvered their way in promoting their country’s interests. Their own research into the agendas and objectivity reflected in the polished articles and media coverage. The first day of the PMUN-2021 conference was marked with worthy efforts of the delegates at problem-solving and consensus-building.
