PRESIDIANS LEARN THE ART OF ORIGAMI WITH A FUN CRAFT ACTIVITY!
Origami, the ancient art of paper folding, can prove to be a great tool in today’s education system This art form engages students and sneakily enhances their skills including improved spatial perception and logical and sequential thinking. Origami excites other modalities of learning. It has been shown to improve spatial visualization skills using hands-on learning. Such skills allow children to comprehend, characterize, and construct their own vernacular for the world around them. The students of grade 3 participated in craft activity dedicated to origami with great zeal and high spirits. They were amazed to see transformation of a flat square of paper into a finished sculpture through paper folding. Budding stars created unique and exclusive shapes to showcase their finesses in paper craft. This activity triggered their imagination and enhanced their creative skills.
HAPPY FEET COMPETITION: VIVACIOUS DANCERS SET THE STAGE ON FIRE!
When we try to translate the vitality of our life energy into fluid moves, we dance. Every dance performance is unique as every dancer is a unique being throbbing with life. Dance is a great way to experience joy, success and feelings. Everyone loves this amazing flavour of human art. In fact, it is an art which not only requires a completely physical but also mental as well as spiritual attention. With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students, Presidium organized a glittering Dance Competition ‘Happy Feet Dance Competition’ for students of grade 1 to 3. The themes of the competition were “Indian Folk Dance, Patriotic Dance and Western Dance Style’. The vivacious dancers set the floor on the fire with their energetic performances. Boys and girls dressed in beautiful costumes captivated everyone with their enthralling dance moves. The fun filled extravaganza offered folk dance forms of Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu and Gujarat. The judges complimented the efforts put in by all the students.

निमंत्रण पत्र किसी को आमंत्रित करने के लिए प्रयोग किया जाता है जैसे- जन्मदिन, विवाह, उत्सव आदि इस तरह के कार्यक्रमों में एक दूसरे को आमंत्रित करने के लिए इसे बनाया जाता है । कक्षा- 3 के समस्त विद्यार्थियों ने पुस्तक में दिए निमंत्रण पत्र के आधार पर उससे संबंधित सभी बिंदुओ पर चर्चा करते हुए समझ बनाई कि इसे लिखते हुए हमें किन -किन बातों का ध्यान रखना ज़रूरी होता है । विद्यार्थियों ने न केवल निमंत्रण पत्र के विषय में अपने विचार व्यक्त किए बल्कि बनाई गई समझ के आधर पर एक सुंदर सा निमंत्रण पत्र का कलेवर अपनी पुस्तिका मे भी तैयार किया।इसके बाद विद्यार्थियों ने विद्याल में आयोजित होने वाले ‘वार्षिर्कोत्सव’ में आने के लिए स्वयं सुन्दर सा निमन्त्रण पत्र लिखकर

SPECTACULAR PERFORMANCES AT THE PRESIDIUM FUTURE FEST 2019!
The two day long gala event, Future Fest 2019, held at Siri Fort Auditorium on 16th & 17th February saw some of the most entertaining and spectacular performances by our young leaders of tomorrow. It was a celebration of the genius, skill, ideas, passion, craft and talents of our young Presidians. The event began with a soulful rendition of Ganesh Vandana followed by performances on various social issues and a tribute to our brave soldiers. The enthusiasm and energy of the young performers could be felt in the auditorium as the audience cheered for the Presidians.

YOUNG HORSE RIDER WINS MEDALS WITH THE PERFECT LEAPS & JUMPS!
Chirag Khandal, a student of grade 9, is an enthusiastic equestrian rider with enormous love for horses. Equestrian, often called as horse riding or horse backing, is a complete combination of three disciplines of dressage, cross-country and show jumping. He has now around 68 medals including national, regional and international events.He is going places with his passion. His ever supporting family and elegant horses contribute majorly to his success. He strives to be the best and we wish him all success in future.
PRESIDIANS EXPLORE THEME OF TRAVEL & TRANSPORT WITH TBL ACTIVITY
We all travel from one place to another. By nature, children are keen observers and hence ask a lot of questions related to the places they visit. Bringing students’ observations into the curriculum helps them feel included and connected. So, under the theme ‘Travel’ students of grade 2 built upon their previous knowledge and established a clear connection between what they have observed and the new concepts and skills they are learning. They learned about the factors that contribute to the selection of means of travel. The cost of tickets, facilities offered, distance covered and time taken to cover that distance are the factors that influence the choice of a means and mode of travel. Students also played a Board game related to theme ‘Travel’ They thoroughly enjoyed while playing this game and it gave them an opportunity to have a hands on experience related to travel including the monetary transactions. It proved to be a fun filled learning activity for students.
MATH ACTIVITY: PRESIDIANS REFRESH THEIR MATHEMATICAL CONCEPTS
Mathematics can be one of the most interesting subject for students if taught with new and innovative teaching techniques. Keeping this in mind, Presidium Gurgaon organised a math activity with an aim to introduce new concepts and refresh the old ones. It turned out to be a great learning experience for the students.

Martyrs Day is celebrated in India to pay homage to the brave souls who fought for the freedom, welfare and progress of India. Presidium Gurgaon paid tribute to the Father of the Nation and our brave soldiers with a special assembly.
ANNUAL SPORTS DAY: PHYSICALLY FIT PRESIDIANS PROVE THEIR METTLE!
Presidium Gurgaon held its Sports Day and Prizes Distribution Function in the presence of the honourable Chairperson Mrs. Sudha Gupta. One of the biggest challenges that the educators face today is ‘student motivation’. Incentives can be used to motivate but partly. Complete motivation that leads to innovation comes from creating environment, where ideas connect. Presidium school is perfect blend of innovation, achievement and advancement and here all are valued equally. Over the years Presidium has produced a number of excellent students in sports who, in the future would take the reputation of the school to new heights. And what’s the better way to appreciate and congratulate them than awarding them with mementoes and certificates of appreciation!
