To celebrate this occasion of Independence day, the students of grade 2 presented a special assembly. To grace this beautiful event and to encourage our young leaders, Ms Aparna Gupta, Director Gurgaon Zone Presidium was invited. She shared her beautiful insights of ‘Azad Bharat’ and encouraged our young ones to always uphold the values of our nation. The event started with the Flag Hoisting ceremony, followed by  a melodious song by the school choir on “Desh mera  sabse sunder hai”. The young patriots also performed a heart touching dance drama, which showcased their gratitude towards our unforgettable freedom fighters. The assembly was concluded by a mesmerising dance performance on a patriotic song followed by the national anthem.

Presidium Gurgaon successfully hosted the sixth edition of the much awaited Presidium Model United Nations Conference 2018 - PRESIDIUM FOR YOUTH EMPOWERMENT from 10th - 12th 2018. Sometimes in this gigantic world, ideas get lost and many amazing minds are overlooked because of age, economic issues, and gender affairs. The three day long PMUN conference opened a door, one that sparkled with potential– the world-changing kind. Presidium strongly stands for empowerment as our philosophy is ‘be what you want to be’ and we create leaders of tomorrow. This is exactly what PMUN 2018 aimed to do; empower the youth and  give these young trailblazers an opportunity to exhibit their skills as potential leaders of tomorrow. With a passionate Secretariat the school ensured that this PMUN  conference fulfilled all expectations that any MUN ever had. Determined, to take the legacy forth, to leave a mark, the effervescent young minds came together to find the panacea for all the blemishes that persecute our environment.

Appreciation not only makes a person happy & joyful but also creates bridges of motivation and inspiration which leads to success eventually.  Acknowledging efforts, talents and attributes gives the tender hearts, a sense of being loved. We at Presidium really believe that the students must receive appreciation and acknowledgement at the end of every term, so that their confidence always remains boosted. With constant love, motivation and inspiration they will become capable enough to convert their signatures into autographs. Thus, we recently organised an Appreciation Day  to acknowledge their significant contribution in each term. They were felicitated with special certificates of recognition for their best qualities. Their beautiful smiles truly conveyed that 'Appreciation is the true fuel to engine of excellence'.

As Pat Riley once said that excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better, so to acknowledge the perseverance and determination of the Presidians to always aim for the best, a time-honored academic tradition, the ‘Academic Excellence Awards’ was recently celebrated by Presidium Gurgaon. Under able guidance of our respected Sudha Gupta Ma’am, Presidium continues to felicitate and acknowledge the achievements of meritorious students. Her unconditional support, awe-inspiring presence and never ending encouragement motivates the students to relentlessly pursue constant progress and bear the hallmark of excellence. She proudly felicitated the achievers with shining trophies and certificates to honour and appreciate the diligence, proficiency and brilliance that led to overall excellence, subject excellence or 100% attendance. With exceptional results in session 2017-18, the scholars have taken the name of the school a notch higher and we are sure they will continue to do so in future as well. 

Sports in school encompasses more than just the benefit of physical activity. It increases self-esteem and mental alertness among the students and enhances their life skills like teamwork, leadership and patience. Our Presidians have always shown immense dedication towards any sport they pursue and have brought many laurels to the school with their constant hard work and determination. Our brilliant Karate kid from grade 2, Harsh Agarwal is one such example whose love for karate made him consistent in winning many accolades.

We are proud of him for glorifying the name of Presidium on such prestigious platforms. 

Studies have shown that indulging in sports helps the body build more connections between nerves, leading to increased concentration, enhanced memory, stimulated creativity, and better-developed problem solving skills. Keeping this in mind, we recently organised a fun filled sports activity for our little ones from grade Nursery. The activity included a ball & bucket race wherein they collected the ball in the bucket to finish the race. Another activity included some fun with a parachute. The toddlers had a gala time with their peers and enhanced their skills simultaneously. It was a great day of learning with fun! 

It has always been an effort of Presidium Gurugram to develop educational skills among its students and accord a fruitful direction to their talents. We are proud to share that our budding champ Shlok of grade 5 was enrolled for the National Astronomy and Science Olympiad (NASO) 2017 which is an International fame Astronomy and Science contest in which several Asian and Gulf countries take part. Shlok qualified the first level and added a feather in the Presidium hat of success. It was an excellent opportunity for him to prove his excellence in science and astronomy.

Eighteen years ago, on July 26, India emerged victorious in the Kargil conflict with Pakistan. In order to commemorate India’s win in the war and to honour the war heroes and participants, the Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year. The corridors of Presidium were yet again filled with the spirit of patriotism as our Presidians paid a tribute to all the soldiers who shed their blood and sweat in saving the borders of the nation on this glorious occasion. Dressed in the army uniforms, our Presidians performed a wonderful skit showcasing Operation Vijay in process. Taking inspiration from the courageous men, they also pledged to fulfill all their duties towards India with loyalty, honesty and love.   

Presidium has a prolonged legacy of budding chess legends and we are proud to share that our wall of fame of achievers in the field of chess has grown another inch wider. Heartfelt congratulations to Harshit Ratnani for representing and bagging the 3rd position U-9 boys’ category of District Chess Championship 2018 held at St. Xavier’s High School Gurgaon recently. Our special mention to Nimay Agrawal for winning 4.5 points out of 5 rounds & for getting selected for U-7 category of the State Chess Championship 2018. The participants showed great enthusiasm and perseverance, strived hard, and bagged the accolades. Kudos to the winners! You have made our school, mentors, and parents immensely proud!
