Eating well is a form of self-respect!
It’s the nutritional choices that our children make every day, which will determine how healthy they will be in the long run. To create awareness among the children and sensitize them towards keeping fit through healthy food, a slogan writing competition was organized at Presidium, Gurgaon. Enthusiastic and confident to participate in this competition, the young Presidians brought various interesting and nutritious food from home for display. They came up with quite innovative slogans after knowledgeable discussions with their teachers. Many interesting and educational facts were discovered, such as:
1. We should ensure that we eat slowly.
2. We should involve ourselves in food shopping and preparing meals with our mothers.
3. We should not eat meals or snacks while watching TV.

ASSEMBLY ON WOMEN EMPOWERMENT: INITIATIVE TOWARDS GENDER EQUALITY
17-08-2017
"The fastest way to change society is to mobilize the women of the world!"
This statement of Charles Malik, former President of UN General Assembly, beautifully highlights the significant role of women in society. History is filled with examples of women’s continuous contribution to social, economic and cultural spheres. Women have fought against all odds to emerge as world changers. Sharing the same view, the Grade 3 Presidians of Gurgaon recently conducted an assembly on the topic 'woman empowerment'. They started the assembly by sharing that the woman is an important pillar of society as she has the power to create, nurture and transform.
An inspiring video 'The Invisible Woman' was screened during the assembly. Children depicted mesmerizing role play to convey the message - 'educate a woman and you educate her family; educate a girl and change the world'. A wonderful dance performance was presented by little Presidians to show the gratitude towards womanhood. Some parents voluntarily shared their success stories to motivate children with their inspirational words. The day was indeed a well-deserved tribute to the womankind, who only is bestowed upon the capability of playing multiple roles such as mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend and a professional.
